The Nintendo DS is not considered a retro console as it was released in 2004, which is not far back enough to be considered retro. Retro consoles are typically from the 1980s and 1990s, such as the NES, SNES, and Sega Genesis. The Nintendo DS is more accurately categorized as a handheld gaming system from the modern era. **

DS emulators themselves are legal, as they are simply software that allows a computer or other device to mimic the functionality of a Nintendo DS. However, downloading or distributing DS ROMs (which are copies of the games themselves) without owning the original game is illegal and a violation of copyright law. It is only legal to download and play DS ROMs if you own the original game. Therefore, it is important to be aware of the legal implications when using DS emulators and ROMs. **

Nintendo DS games are saved on the DS using a combination of internal memory and external game cartridges. The DS has internal memory for saving game progress, but some games also use save files on the game cartridges themselves. When a player saves their game progress, the data is stored either in the internal memory or on the game cartridge, depending on the specific game. This allows players to continue their game from where they left off, even if they switch game cartridges. **

The drag force is a resistive force that acts on an object as it moves through a fluid, such as air or water. It is caused by the friction and pressure difference between the fluid and the surface of the object. The drag force opposes the motion of the object and can significantly affect its speed and trajectory. The magnitude of the drag force depends on the shape, size, and speed of the object, as well as the properties of the fluid through which it is moving. **
